Austin Smith

Austin was born and raised in Asheville, NC. Growing up in a healthy church, he found his love for the Lord at a young age. He has been writing and making music for many years and leading worship since 2012. Austin has been around since the beginning of the Excel community and helped with its launch. Now, he and his wife Laura live on campus and both have a passion for the creative arts, relationships, and hosting people. Austin has helped with most construction projects on campus, and helps to serve Excel with worship and through Excel Creative. He loves teaching, writing, recording, production, media, theology, building things, playing games, and helping people come alive.
